Youth unemployment in Kazakhstan has reached its minimum value over the past 10 years In 2020, the level of youth unemployment (aged 15-28) in Kazakhstan reached its minimum value over a ten-year period, having decreased to 3.6%.
The lowest level of youth unemployment in 2020 is in Aktobe region with 1.5%, followed by East Kazakhstan and Atyrau regions with 2.4%. In turn, Almaty (5.5%), Nur-Sultan (4.7%) and North Kazakhstan region (4.4%) are among the regions with the highest unemployment rates among young people aged 15-28 years.
