Subsidiary Bank Sberbank of Russia starts considering applications and disbursing loans under updated government mortgage scheme "Baspana Hit"

/KASE, December 30, 2020/ – Subsidiary Bank Sberbank of Russia (Almaty),
whose bonds are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has
provided KASE with the following press release dated December 30, 2020:

Sberbank is the leader among Kazakhstan's second-tier banks in terms of
issuing mortgage loans under the Baspana Hit program, having disbursed about
24,600 loans worth over 205 billion. Currently, according to Kazakhstan
Sustainability Fund, banks participating in this mortgage scheme have disbursed
more than 35 thousand mortgage loans in the amount of more than KZT300
billion. The most loans were disbursed in Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Karagandy
region.
The Bank expects that participation in the updated program will allow it to
further strengthen its position in servicing clients who purchase homes under
this popular government scheme.
According to the new terms of the program, approved by the National Bank, the
upper limits for home prices in the primary market in the cities of Nur-Sultan
and Almaty were increased from 25 million to 35 million tenge, and for primary
and secondary housing in Shymkent – up to 25 million tenge and in Karagandy –
up to 20 million tenge.
In addition, now citizens of Kazakhstan can apply for a mortgage for the
purchase of housing as part of joint development in a second-tier bank project
or with a guarantee of the single operator of housing construction.
Sberbank has already begun considering applications and disbursing loans of
increased amount, and from the beginning of 2021 it will begin to fund the
acquisition of housing under joint development projects.
As of the twentieth of December, during the entire period of the bank's
participation in financing state mortgage schemes, it disbursed 31,160 mortgage
loans in the amount of more than 281 billion tenge.
