Samruk-Energy starts developing feasibility study for Almaty CHPP-3 reconstruction project

/KASE, October 13, 2020/ – Samruk-Energy (Nur-Sultan), whose bonds are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with the press release dated October 13, 2020, which states as follows: quote Samruk-Energу JSC, the largest power holding company of the country, has started required corporate procedures for the development of the feasibility study (FS) of the Almaty CHPP-3 reconstruction project. The company completed preliminary calculations and analyzed the possibility of conversion of CHPP-3 from coal to gas in 2019. These works also included consideration of the terms of reference for connecting the plant to the gas network of Almaty. At present, the materials of the preliminary studies were sent to the Investment and Innovation Council and the Management Board of the Company.
