Samruk-Energy reports operation of the holding's enterprises in COVID-19 quarantine

/KASE, May 13, 2020/ – Samruk-Energy (Nur-Sultan), whose bonds are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with the following communiqué dated May 13, 2020: quote The coronavirus epidemic demonstrated the professionalism of Kazakhstan's power engineers and showed high mobilization capabilities of the industry, even in spite of the depreciation of the equipment. During the state of emergency at enterprises of Ekibastuz energy complex of Samruk-Energy JSC, 11 confirmed cases of CVI were recorded. By this time, 2 employees have recovered, 272 people are in home quarantine. We are talking about Bogatyr Komir LLP, Nurzhanov Ekibastuz GRES-1 LLP and Station Ekibastuz GRES-2 JSC. As of today, all generating, transmission and distribution companies of the electric power holding Samruk-Energy JSC are operating as usual and are completely fulfilling their obligations to consumers on supply of electricity and shipment of coal. During the state of emergency, in March through May 11, 2020, the volume of electricity generated by the power plants of Samruk-Energy JSC amounted to 4,984,109 th. kW, the volume of coal sold over the same period was 9,462,590 tons of coal.
