At the same time, in February, the country's largest thermal power plant recorded a record load for 7 power units - 3481 MW. The last time a similar indicator was recorded in February 1986. At that time the maximum mark reached 3095 MW, but with 8 power units operating. The share of electricity on Kazakhstan's market generated by EGRES-1 amounted to 19.4%. Compared to the 1st quarter of 2019, the share of electricity increased by 5.1%. Electricity sales to Kazakhstan's market increased by 31.3% compared to the first quarter of 2019 and amounted to 5.5 billion kW/h. 455 million kWh of electricity were sold to the market of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Ekibastuz GRES-1, which is part of the structure of Samruk-Energy JSC, the largest energy holding in Kazakhstan, is the flagship of the republic's energy sector.
