/KASE, April 29, 2020/ – Samruk-Energy (Nur-Sultan), whose bonds are officially
listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with the
following communiqué dated April 29, 2020:

Bulat Nurzhanov "Ekibastuz GRES-1 LLP completed the 1st quarter of 2020,
generating 5.7 billion kW/h of electricity. At the same time, in February, the
country's largest thermal power plant recorded a record load for 7 power units -
3481 MW. The last time a similar indicator was recorded in February 1986. At
that time the maximum mark reached 3095 MW, but with 8 power units
operating.
The share of electricity on Kazakhstan's market generated by EGRES-1
amounted to 19.4%. Compared to the 1st quarter of 2019, the share of
electricity increased by 5.1%.
Electricity sales to Kazakhstan's market increased by 31.3% compared to the
first quarter of 2019 and amounted to 5.5 billion kW/h. 455 million kWh of
electricity were sold to the market of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Ekibastuz GRES-1, which is part of the structure of Samruk-Energy JSC, the
largest energy holding in Kazakhstan, is the flagship of the republic's energy
sector. So, only last year the power plant generated 18.3 billion kW/h. This
made 17.3% of the total share of electricity generation in the country.
