/KASE, February 19, 2020/ – Samruk-Energy (Nur-Sultan), whose bonds are officially
listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with information
statement dated February 19, 2020, which states as follows:

In March-April 2020, Samruk-Energy plans to receive preliminary results of the
feasibility study (FEA) of the Almaty CHPP-2 project. This was announced today
by the Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Energy Bakhytzhan Zhulamanov
during his speech at a meeting of Economic Policy, Innovation Development and
Entrepreneurship Committee of the Senate of Kazakhstan’s Parliament.
Samruk-Energy, as mentioned in the speech, pays special attention to the issues
of environmental protection. For instance, implementation of the project on
modernization of the Almaty CHPP-2 has started to reduce negative impact on
the environmental situation of the city of Almaty. The feasibility study is
being developed by the independent Institute KazNIPIEnergoprom.
