/KASE, February 19, 2020/ – Samruk-Energy (Nur-Sultan), whose bonds are officially
listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with information
statement dated February 19, 2020, which states as follows:

The Board of Directors of Ekibastuz GRES-2 has decided to approve further
implementation of the project for the construction of power generating unit No.3
at the power plant. This was announced today by the Chairman of the Management
Board of Samruk-Energy Bakhytzhan Zhulamanov during his speech at a meeting of
Economic Policy, Innovation Development and Entrepreneurship Committee of the
Senate of Kazakhstan’s Parliament. According to the head of Kazakhstan's largest
electric power holding company, in 2020 it is planned to complete the adjustment
of the design and estimate documentation of the project for the expansion and
reconstruction of the Ekibastuz GRES-2.
The construction of a new power unit at the Ekibastuz GRES-2 will increase its
installed capacity by 636 MW.
