KazTransOil reports payment of compensation for substandard oil by Transneft to 18 Kazakhstani oil

/KASE, December 30, 2019/ – KazTransOil (Nur-Sultan), whose shares are officially
listed on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with the press
release dated December 30, 2019, which states as follows:

Transneft has paid compensation for the shipment of substandard oil in Ust-Luga
port to remaining 18 Kazakhstani oil companies as a part of the agreements signed
between Transneft and KazTransOil, acting on behalf of 38 Kazakhstani oil
companies.
To recap, an emergency in the system of Transneft trunk oil pipelines caused by
the presence of high concentrations of organochlorine compounds in the transported
oil occurred in April-May 2019, which led to the shipment of substandard oil for
Kazakh shippers to tankers in the port of Ust-Luga.
