Ispat-Karmet (Kazakhstan) may issue bonds for up to $100 m

Ispat-Karmet, which is controlled by the group LNM, may issue internal
bonds for up to $100 m, said the company's acting director Satish Taparia to
Reuters.
"We are examining such the possibility... Up to $100 m", - he said answering
gthe question about perspectives of bonds issue.
According to Taparia's words, metallurgical giant Ispat-Karmet studies the
possibility to issue at domestic market nominated in tenge bonds indexed to
US dollar. Circulation term and other parameters of possible issue has not
been determined yet.
"We should study the market", - said Taparia.
According to his words, the decision about borrowing of means for general
corporate purposes may be made within four-six weeks. In case the
mentioned sum is confirmed, the issue will be the largest one in the history of
Kazakhstan domestic market of corporate bonds.
The group LNM belongs to an Indian businessman Lakshmi Mitall, who lives
in London.
