/KASE, December 30, 2019/ – KazTransOil (Nur-Sultan), whose shares are officially listed on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with the press release dated December 30, 2019, which states as follows: quote In December 2019, for the first time since the route operation start, 160 thousand tons of low-sulphur crude oil in blend with Siberian Light crude oil were transported for further shipment for export through the port of Novorossiysk in two tanker shipments of 80 thousand tons each. Light low-sulphur crude oil is pumped through the Atyrau-Samara trunk pipeline of "KazTransOil" JSC with maintenance of its quality, with further transportation through the Transneft system to the port of Novorossiysk in a joint flow with Siberian Light crude oil. Previously, the volume of such shipments did not exceed 85 thousand tons of oil per month. The transportation of low- sulphur crude oil from Kazakhstan using the Atyrau- Samara-Novorossiysk pipeline route with the crude quality maintenance is been carried out since January 2017. Thus the netback of shipments in blend with Siberian Light, in comparison with Urals, is substantially higher, the rout is significantly advantageous for the Republic of Kazakhstan and local oil companies. Thus during 12 months of 2019 "KazTransOil" JSC provided transportation of 1.05 million tons of Kazakh crude oil with maintenance of its quality through Atyrau- Samara trunk oil pipeline. The main shipper is “OzenMunayGas” JSC, part of the Kashagan oil production was exported using this route. unquote [2019-12-30]
