/KASE, December 12, 2019/ – Samruk-Energy (Nur-Sultan), whose bonds are officially
listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with the press
release dated December 11, 2019, which states as follows:

The third hydraulic unit is being commissioned at the Shardarinsk HPP. This
large-scale project on the complete modernization of hydroelectric power plant
on the Syrdarya River is nearing its completion. The fourth - the last - hydraulic
unit under the project will be put into operaiton in the end of February 2020.
Major reconstruction will increase the capacity of the HPP by 26% from the current
100 to 126 MWt. The replacement of old hydro turbines of the Kharkiv plant with
new ones produced by an Austrian-German company Andritz Hidro GmbX will increase
the production of the plant from 480 to 537 million kWh per year.
