/KASE, July 10, 2019/ – Development Bank of Kazakhstan (Nur-Sultan), whose bonds
are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided the
following press release to KASE:

“Development Bank of Kazakhstan” JSC (a subsidiary of “Baiterek” National
Management Holding” JSC, hereinafter DBK, Bank) opened financing for a project to
provide broadband Internet access (hereinafter BBA) to rural settlements in all
regions of the country (hereinafter referred to as the Project). The Project cost
is 16.8 billion tenge. DBK provided a loan in the amount of 13.3 billion tenge
for a period of 12 years. The remaining amount of necessary investments in the
amount of 3.5 billion tenge will be provided by the borrower – “SilkNetCom” LLP.
The Project is implemented on the terms of public-private partnership. Within the
framework of the Project in 2020 it is planned to lay fiber-optic communication
lines with a total length of 6,200 km from the existing backbone networks of
“Transtelecom” JSC to all regions of the country, which will provide BBA for state
bodies and budget institutions (over 1,200 broadband access points) in 421
villages.
