Exchange simulator: trading volume from April 1 to April 19 reached KZT2,511.3 mln

/KASE, April 22, 2019/ – As announced earlier, the training competition "Exchange simulator" organized by Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) is conducted from April 1 to April 30, 2019.

During the three weeks of the competition (April 1 to April 19), the trading volume reached KZT2,511.3 mln. The average daily volume of transactions in the said period exceeded KZT157.1 mln.

Below is information on all transactions made, by instrument, in the period from April 1 to April 19, 2019:

The maximum number and the maximum amount of transactions made by one participant is 238 and KZT247.5 mln, respectively.

Currently, 1,071 students from more than 30 various educational institutions have registered for participation in the "Exchange simulator" project.

The purpose of the project is to increase the financial literacy of young specialists and provide them with practical skills of operation on the stock market. Students are given the opportunity to trade in the most liquid securities in the Kazakh market, most of which is part of the KASE Index. At the beginning of trades, each participant is provided with a portfolio worth one million tenge to be managed. The main task of students is to form the best portfolio which will determine the winners of the competition.

This competition has been conducted by KASE group of companies since 2008.
