Common shares of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan have been given NIN

/IRBIS, October 18, 02/ - Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan OJSC (Almaty), whose shares and bonds at present are traded at Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE) under highest listing category, distributed today press-release, in which there is information about changing of certificates about the state registration of the bank's first, the second, the third and the fourth shares issue by the National Bank on October 15 of 2002. Changing of the mentioned certificates was caused by giving of the national identification numbers (NIN) of common inscribed shares of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan OJSC of the first five issues and the last, the seventh issue, which had had different NIN before, to the single - KZ1C33870011, which was given to inscribed shares of the seventh issue. The bank informs that common inscribed shares of the seventh issue, according to acting "Regulations about the order of registration in the State securities register of joint-stock companies' shares in the Republic of Kazakhstan and giving them national identification numbers", was given NIN, different from NIN, which had been given to all common shares on the bank's previous issues. In accordance with the fact that different NIN on the same shares has a number of inconveniences (inconveniences when conducting of the trades in such shares, and also inconveniences for registering of such shares by professional securities market's participants), Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan turned to the National Bank with application about making the single NIN of the bank's all common shares issues. The seventh issue was registered by the National Bank of Kazakhstan on September 23 of 2002 under the number А3387-6 and consists of 20,000,000 common inscribed and 6,742,000 privileged shares without voting right with the face value of KZT100.00 for each. The bank informs that change of NIN will not influence property rights of shareholders - holders of common inscribed shares of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan. As of October 10, 02 general announced number of common inscribed shares of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan OJSC equals to 74,225,999, of them paid shares - 54,225,999 (registered 20,000,000 common inscribed shares of the bank of the seventh issue were not floated at primary market). By the mentioned date, according to registrar's data, Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan had 34,883 holders of common inscribed shares. [2002-10-18]
