On February 15, 2019 Almaty city court drew a line in the litigation over a KZT2.2 bn statement of claim by RPA KOUPIS against Alma Telecommunications Kazakhstan (ALMA TV).

The court of appeal ruled as follows: the decision of Almaty special inter-district economic court dated December 21, 2017 regarding the statement of claim of the Republican public association "Kazakhstan's society for administration of intellectual property rights" against Alma Telecommunications Kazakhstan (ALMA TV) on recovery of monetary compensation in the amount of KZT2,180,388,000 for violation of related rights of "Web Content" LLP must be left unchanged. The appeal of RPA "Kazakhstan's society for administration of intellectual property rights" must be left without satisfaction. The appeal of "Web Content" LLP must be left without satisfaction. The ruling comes into effect from the day of announcement.
