KazMunayGaz increased an extraction of oil and gas condensate by 13% to 2,338.3th tons within four months of 2002

KazMunayGaz CJSC increased volumes of oil and gas condensate
extraction within January-April period of 2002 relative to corresponding
period of the previous year (2,062.1th tons) by 13% to 2,338.3th tons.
According to budgeted 2,231.3th growth totaled 4.7%. Press service
informed it to KZ-Today.
As it was informed by the company, reached indicators became possible due
to capital investments to production building, applying of methods on
improving of fields oil recovery, renewal of special technics depot and
chemicalixation of oil extraction processes.
Oil delivery in January-April of 2002 amounted to 2,275 th tons. Including
1,142th tons - to the Far Abroad, 591 th tons - to the Near Abroad, 440.5 th
tons - domestic market, 93 th tons - to royalty and 8.5th tons - to others. Oil
supply exceeded a corresponding period of 2001 by 3.7% (2,008th tons).
Volume of extraction was equal to 532 th tons, which is 24.3% less than
figure of the corresponding period of the previous year.
Expected volume of oil transportation for January-April period of 2002
through the KazTransOil CJSC system totaled 9.6m tons (10.3m tons - in
2001), it is possible the transportation to decrease by 7% due to
establishment of KTK.
Volume of Intergaz Central Asia CJSC gas transportation for January-April,
2002 relative to budgeted figures decreased by 10% due to reduction of
volume of Russian gas transit that is 36.5m cubic meter. For January-April of
2002 1.9bn cubic meters was realized through the KazTranGaz CJSC
system.
In 2002 volume of capital investments for 4 months totaled KZT8,453m,
which is twice less than it was budgeted, but higher than level in
corresponding period of 2001 by 3.2%. This decrease, in company's opinion,
is due to National Company KazakhOil CJSC and National Company Oil and
Gas Transport CJSC reorganization, which suspended a financing of several
projects, and also the schedule of tenders on machinery purchase and
contractor's work execution was shifted
Revenues from products realization within the reported period amounted to
KZT93bn, having exceeded budgeted figure by 4% and similar period of
2001 more than 30% greater. Net income equaled to KZT18.4bn.
According to preliminary estimations, enterprises, which are part of National
Company KazMunayGaz CJSC in January-April paid taxes to republican and
local budgets of totally KZT13.4bn, according to the results of the first
quarter of the current year this figure was equal to KZT11.4bn.
Company's plan for the second quarter provides a graph, which determines
high trends of oil extraction growth. So, the oil extraction in the second
quarter is planned to be 1,746.8 th tons through Uzelmunaygaz OJSC and
622 th tons through Kazakhoil-Emba OJSC.
To reach this figures there was determined a list of organizing and technical
activities that make a provisions for establishment of new wells, wells from
inactive positions, transfer to the mechanic method of exploitation and so on.
In company's opinion, these measures will allow to reach budgeted volumes
of oil extraction (7m tons), which will exceed last year's figure by 13.2%.
Oil supply for the second quarter of 2002 is planned to be 1,678.6 th tons.
Oil extraction companies in the second quarter are planned to manage
capital investments of Uzenmunaygaz OJSC - KZT4,096m and Kazakhoil-
Emba - KZT871m.
According to information of press service, oil transportation in the second
quarter is planned to be 7m tons (budgeted year extraction - 27.8m tons).
Gas transportation for this period will reach 30,717m cubic meters including
local - 679m, for exporting - 1,388m, international transit - 28,650m. A
budget on 2002 - 112,607m cubic meters, it is 14% greater than the first
quarter.
