Development Bank of Kazakhstan will issue bonds at external market

/REUTERS, London, May 7, 02/ - State Development bank of Kazakhstan
appointed UBS Warburg as a lead-manager of floatation of international debt
obligations, informed the investment bank on Thursday.
Planned issue will be come the first for Development Bank. At the beginning
of March the bank founded in the year 2001 for financing of middle- and
long-term projects in Kazakhstan attracted 1.5 billion tenge at an auction of
Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE) through the issue of five-year coupon
bonds.
In the spring of this year two largest Kazakhstan private banks also entered
international bonds market. In the end of April five-year eurobonds for the
amount of $150 million were issued by Kazkommertsbank. The floatation of
bonds of bank TuranAlem for the amount of $100-200 million is anticipated
this week.
