KASE defined leading operators of the exchange market for GS in Kazakhstan for January 2002

/IRBIS, Feb 01, 02/ - Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) defined list of
companies - leading operators of the KASE government securities market for
January 2002.
The rating is made according to portion of concluded deals in aggregate gross
turnover of trades (total of purchased and sold bonds). The rating included
purchase-sale deals (11.7% of the secondary market) and direct and reverse
repo operations (88.3%). The position of each entity was expressed in
currency of the payments, i.e. tenge.
In total, 21 company participated in trades with GB at KASE in January
excluding the National Bank of Kazakhstan (banks, broker-dealer companies,
pension assets management companies and SAPF). Below is the list of 10 the
most active operators given in descending order of their shares in total deals
volume.
