Contracts and protocols on import substitution program fro the amount of $144.3m have been signed - the minister of economy

/Kazakhstan today, Jan 11, 02/ - In Astana during the two-days work of republican meeting on import substitution more than 310 positions of import substitutes goods were considered, on which contracts and protocols for supply were signed. The minister of economy and trade Zhaksybek Kulekeev resulting meeting informed it on Thursday in Astana. Based on his data, for year 2002 contracts and protocols of intentions on import substitution for the total amount of $144.3m were signed, including with Kazakhstan temir zholy RSEfor $68.7m, with NKTN KazTransOil - for $21m, with NOV Kazakhoil - for $27.4m, with NAC Kazatomprom - for $24.8m and with KEGOC OJCS - for $2.5m. At the same time, aggregate volumes of supplies on these companies are estimated preliminary in the amount of $120m. According to the minister words, the biggest volumes of intentions are made on Southern Kazakhstan oblast, share of which accounts for 29.1% of total volume, Northern Kazakhstan oblast - 10.3%, Almaty - 9.7%, Almaty oblast - 8.7% and Astana - 8.5%. The biggest volumes of orders for supply of their products was provided by such domestic producers as Almaty vagonoremontnyi zavod, Firm Bent, Cvetmerremont OJSC, Kuat LLP and others, noted Z.
