In August 2001 volume of deals in corporate securities reached $37.9m in all sectors

/IRBIS, Sept 2, 01/ - In August 2001 at the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) 94 deals in corporate securities were made in all sectors of the market for a total of $37,865.0 th., or KZT5,574.3m at current rate of the Exchange effective on the day the deals were made on. Sector turnover decreased by $10,575.5 th or KZT1,533.2m or by 21.8% (21.6%) relative to previous month. The capitalization of the share market - indicator that reflects the market capitalization of the companies whose shares were entered into all the lists of the KASE securities. It is calculated on the basis of the number of issued shares and their last market values. In case of the absence of the deals the face values of the securities, expressed in U.S. dollars (if necessary) at the rate of the Exchange for the current day, are used.
