In 2016 foreign currency trade volume on KASE decreased 45.4 % and made up KZT36.1 trln ($104.9 bn)
/KASE, January 6, 2017/ – In 2016 the volume of foreign currency trading on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including currency swap transactions, made up KZT36,124.4 bn (equivalent of USD104,863.0 mln) having decreased by 45.4 % (66.5 % in dollar terms) against the same period of 2015.

The weighted average rate of the tenge to the US dollar, calculated on all deals of the main (morning) trading session on KASE in the period from January 5, 2016 to December 30, 2016, made up KZT342.37 per US dollar, on all exchange deals – KZT342.06 per US dollar.
