Kazakhstan expects budget revenues growth in 2002

/IRBIS, July 3, 01/ - REUTERS informs, with the reference to the budget
commission, that in year 2002 budget revenues would be more than in 2001.
It is said that the Commission is discussing the revenues now, and will work
on the expenses and deficit side of the budget, as well as macroeconomic
forecasts close to the fall. After the discussion the final draft of the budget
2002 will be sent by the government to the parliament.
Planned growth of the revenues is to be originated in raw material sector
mostly, which is to boost other sectors of the economy, was added.
Following are the revenue figures of the budget 2002 compared with
expected budget 2001 performance (m KZT):

National budget revenues (state budget less regional budgets) are said to be
stable at 10.5% of GDP in coming years, is said.

Next year GDP of Kazakhstan is expected at KZT3,188.0bn, and
KZT3,479.0bn in 2003, and KZT3,812.0bn in 2004.
It is said that usually the revenue side changes slightly during the
discussion.
