NOC KAZAKHOIL CJSC (Kazakhstan) informs of results in first quarter of 2001

/IRBIS, Apr 3, 01/ - Public relations department of NOC KAZAKHOIL CJSC (Astana) sent the message of the company's and its subsidiaries' results in the first quarter of this year. It is said that for the tenth independence anniversary of Kazakhstan the subsidiaries of NOC KAZAKHOIL CJSC, Uzenmunaigas OJSC and Kazakhoil-Emba OJSC, assumed an obligation to produce 150 th tons in excess of planned volume. The first quarter of this year demonstrates a progress in this direction. During the first three months NOC KAZAKHOIL produced 77 th tons of oil. It is 114.5% production growth relative to similar period of last year. Meanwhile, oil supplies to Atyrau refinery have been completed by 100%. Several reasons for the production increase were given such as the investments into production, resumption of the drilling works at the wells, renewal of the special machinery, restoration of chemical processes of the production, creation of new work places and increase in wages of regular oilmen. The funds received from additional oil production volumes are planned to allocate to social programs and improvement of the oil regions' infrastructure. The construction of a 3-star hotel with 50 rooms is to be completed soon, and a new school will be built in Janaozen. The resting house is being built at the shores of the Caspian Sea. Canteens are put into service at sites of Kazakhoil-Emba, and the housing is being built for 440 households in Novyi Karaton. Public relations department also informs that from the beginning of this year 345 oilmen from Mangistau and Atyrau regions visited a resting house in Zerenda of Akmola region.
