In January–February 2016 volume of foreign currency trading on KASE decreased by 51 % and made up KZT9.2 trln ($25.3 bn)
/KASE, March 5, 16/ – In January–February 2016 the volume of foreign currencies traded on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including currency swap transactions, made up KZT9,216.5 bn (equivalent of USD25,281.1 mln) and decreased by 51.0 % (by 75.2 % in dollar terms) against the same period of 2015.
In comparison with the previous two-month period (November–December 2015) the trades volume decreased by 12.7 % (24.9 % in dollar terms).

The weighted average rate of the tenge to the US dollar, calculated on all deals of the main (morning) trading session on KASE in the period from January 5, 2016 to February 29, 2016, made up KZT362.76 per US dollar, on all exchange deals – KZT362.55 per US dollar.
