/KASE, February 12, 16/ – Following a decision of the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE, or the Exchange) of February 11, 2016, E. Salimov, deputy Chairman of Management Board of Halyk Savings Bank of Kazakhstan JSC, was elected a member of the Board of Directors, independent director of KASE.

Extraordinary election of the new independent director of the Exchange was held following the early discontinuation of authorities of Z. Kurmanov as a member of the Board of Directors, independent director of the Exchange and chairman of the Board of Directors due to his taking up a new job.
