/IRBIS, Jan 29, 01/ - According to the Reuters, Kazakhstan produced in the last year record breaking high volume of oil for the last ten years - 15.0 tons (9.6 tons in 1999).

The gold industry experienced revival of production. Major contribution is rehabilitation of new production facilities. Traditional producers, Kazzinc, Kazakhmys and Altynalmas also recorded growth in production.
