Weekly net-borrowing balance of the Ministry of Finance on the GB market is negative KZT2,520.8 mln; annual figure is minus KZT6,150.6 mln

/IRBIS, Dec.28, 00/ - The Ministry of Finance ended the last week of the
year 2000 (December 25-31) on the primary market of GB with following
results. With total repayment amount of KZT3,404.7 mln (including coupon
payment of KZT1,679.0 mln for MEKKAM-120) the issuer raised KZT883.8
mln at three auctions. Resulting weekly balance of the Ministry of Finance's
net borrowing was negative - KZT2,520.8 mln.
According to the data of IRBIS, resulting annual balance of MOF on the
domestic and international markets (including euronotes) equaled to minus
KZT6,150.6 mln. With total volume of emissions of KZT79,320.7 mln
redemption amounted to KZT68,682.0 mln and coupon payments to
KZT16,789.3 mln. All foreign exchange bonds were estimated at actual rates
of issue and redemption.
