Trade balance of Kazakhstan in January-October of 2000 is positive $3,247.8 bln

/IRBIS, Dec.15, 00/ - REUTERS informs, with the reference to the Statistics
agency of Kazakhstan, that external trade balance of Kazakhstan (including
CIS countries), in January-October of 2000 equaled positive $3,247.8 mln
compared with positive balance of $1,212.1 mln in January-October of 1999.
The exports for the period totaled $7,235.7 mln, import - $3,987.9 mln.
Comparable figures for last year: $4,188.0 mln and $2,975.9 mln.
It is said that Russia remains as the major trade partner of the country. Its
exports and imports amounted for 20.5% and 49.9% of total figures.
