with the listing requirements, provided the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange
(KASE) with its financial statements for first six months of year 2000: balance
sheet, cash flow statement and various reports on economic and financial
activity.
Following are the results of the issuer in the first six months of year 2000

Compared to the similar period of 1999 the company experienced following
changes:
- shareholders' equity of the company decreased by KZT3.0 bln, or 2.0%
(including authorized capital - KZT49.8 mln due to branch separation,
fixed assets revaluation fund - KZT27.9 bln, reserve capital - KZT5.4 mln
and increase in final amount of undistributed profit by KZT24.9 bln.);
- assets decreased by KZT1.9 bln, or 1.0%;
- liabilities rose by KZT1.1 bln, or 3.0%.
The sales and goods offered grew up by KZT34.4 bln, or 84.6%, their cost -
rose by KZT17.8 bln, or 54.9%, expenses for the period - by KZT5.0 bln, or
90.6%, losses from non-operating activity - KZT1.6 bln or 2 times.
The net income of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy NSC in first six months of 2000
equaled KZT6.3 bln that is KZT5.8 bln or 12.7 times more than in
corresponding period of last year.
Discount bonds of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy NSC were included into "A" of
the official list of KASE securities on June 23, 2000 (KZ2CLALN6A19, trade
code - TMJLb).

cargo and passenger transportation security.
