NSC of Kazakhstan suspended the custodian license issued to CASPIAN BANK OJSC (Kazakhstan)

/IRBIS, Nov.7, 00/ - By the resolution #709 of the Directorate of the National Securities Commission of Kazakhstan (NSC), dated Nov.6,00, the license issued to CASPIAN BANK OJSC (Almaty) to conduct custodian activities on the stock market. The license #0407100031 was issued to the bank on Jan.14,99. The grounds for the suspension of the license was the fact that the bank did not meet the requirements on the size of shareholders' equity for the organizations holding the license that allows them to conduct custodian activities on the stock market, which were specified in the resolution #113 of the NSC, dated June 30, 97 "On the requirements to the professional participants of the stock market". The license was suspended for up to six months until the violations are removed.
