STATISTICS: Weekly volume of transactions in securities at KASE - $15.5 th

/IRBIS, Aug. 18, 00/ - During the thirty fourth calendar week (Aug. 14 - 20) two deals for a total of $15.5 th. were made in securities trade sector of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE). The volume is 4 times lower than that of pervious week (1 deal for $63.1 th.). In terms of securities the volume decreased 17 times down to 1,079 from 18,000 on the previous week. The deal was made in two instruments - ordinary and preferred shares of Kazakhtelecom (KZTK and KZTKp, official list of securities, category "A"). Deals were made using counter auction method (main trade mode at KASE). As a result, KZTKp rate decreased by 15%, from $10.0 down to $8.50.
