/KASE, February 3, 15/ – In January 2015 the volume of foreign currencies trades on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including currency swap transactions, made up KZT8,978.8 bn (equivalent of USD48,821.1 mln) and increased 3.7 times (3.1 times in dollar terms) against the same period of 2014. In comparison with December 2014 the trades volume increased by 14.9 % (by 13.7 % in dollar terms). The rate of the tenge's devaluation against the US dollar on weighted average exchange rate is estimated in the current year at 14.59 % APR. In January 2015 the devaluation rate of the tenge to the US dollar in nominal terms made up 1.15 %. In 2014 the devaluation rate of the tenge to the US dollar in nominal terms made up 18.36 %.
