Positive surplus of Kazakhstan's state budget as of May 1, 2000 - 2.3% of GDP

/IRBIS, June 26, 00/ - REUTERS informs, with the reference to Statistics agency of Kazakhstan that positive surplus of the country's state budget as of May 1, 2000 equaled KZT15.7 bln, or 2.3% of GDP. It is said that in nominal terms the revenues equaled KZT165.3 bln, and expenses, including financing - KZT149.7 bln. Receipts grew 65.8% compared to similar period of last year, expenses, including financing rose by 64.0%, is said. Following is the structure of the state budget as of May 1, 2000 (in mln KZT): Revenues 165,349 Income 163,800 including: Tax revenues 141,933 Non-tax revenues 14,893 Income from operations with the capital 6,974 Expenses and finances 149,672 Expenses 145,007 Financing 4,665 Budget surplus 15,677 VAT is said to have the biggest proportion of all tax revenues - 25.5%. Social tax (20.3%), income tax from private persons (10.9%), income tax from legal entities (23.3%) are said to remain almost unchanged from the last month.
