Exchange market of the dollar is balanced

/IRBIS, May 2, 00/ - Today the next morning trades in U.S. dollars, Deutsche marks and euros with TOD payment terms were held at Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE). 14 banks participated in the trades. Today the trades in U.S. dollars opened at KZT142.05 per unit. Total of 92 deals were made. Weighted average dollar exchange rate equaled to KZT142.04 (+0.03) per unit. Volume of the session - $3.410 mln (-$1.180 mln). Exchange rate fluctuation during the trade - 0.02%. The trades were closed at KZT142.03/04 per dollar. Today the conjuncture of the Exchange market did not change much, volumes of dollar sales still remain essential. Thus, most of the traders, who were selling currency today, were handling amounts more than 500 th. U.S. dollars. The number of buyers was obviously more than that of the sellers, though most of the currency was bought by one participant. During the trades the exchange rate of the U.S. dollar was fluctuating within KZT142.02 - 142.05 per unit interval without any apparent trends. The exchange rate of the American currency rose some today, but, in general, the Exchange market of USD is balanced, which is proved by a minimal fluctuations of the deal prices during the session today. One hour after closing of the morning session on interbank market of Kazakhstan dollar was quoted at KZT141.98/142.07 per unit. Two hours later quotations - 142.00/05. In the day session of KASE with TOD payment terms at 12:30PM the dollar was quoted at KZT142.00/05 per unit. Deutsche mark, morning session, TOD: no deals. Closing quotations - KZT66.65/67.20 for mark. Euro, morning session, TOD: no deals. Closing demand - KZT129.50 for euro, no offer.
