/IRBIS, Apr.21, 00/ - Following is the table of major indicators of Kazakhstani market for U.S. dollar (more than 98% of country's all currency market). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- US dollar trades at the Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE) ------------------------ --------------- ------------- ----------- ----------- Instrument USD TOD USD TOD USD TOM USD SPOT Session Main Additional. By indicative interbank quotations of the dollar in REUTERS information system, tenge gained 11 points in comparison with previous day closing on demand and 13 points on supply of the American currency. Insignificant growth in the exchange rate of the dollar on the main morning session of KASE was the only one registered fact of the American currency firming today. Additional trades in U.S. dollars on TOD payment terms, based on the quotations (the only deal was made at KZT142.04 per dollar), were showing quite explicit and constant firming of tenge, that took place practically simultaneously with the change in indicative quotations of the dollar on interbank market. A slight upward correction of the USD exchange rate was observed in last working hours of currency market, which apparently means that the dealers are willing to use the money that should come after SS were repaid this week. However, it is hardly believed that the deals were actually made at such prices while quotations were put out steadily. It is hard to make a certain forecast regarding the further development of the trend of the dollar exchange rate based on the results of an analysis of the last day of the week. IRBIS specialists came to a conclusion that on Monday the exchange rate of the dollar will continue its fall. However, it is difficult to tell what would happen afterwards.
