Transit of Kazakhstani oil through Russia can be raised 80% up to 18 mln tons in two years

/IRBIS, March 30, 00/ - PRIME-TASS informs, with the reference to the Ministry of fuel and energy, that transit of Kazakhstani oil through Russia can be raised 80% up to 18 mln tons in two years. It is said Kazakhstani transit can be increased due to reduction in exports from Russia, which can equal 12 mln tons this year. Year 2000 protocol reads that coordinated transit volumes will reach 10 mln tons. 2 mln tons is to be supplied from Kazakhstan based on substitution scheme. In addition, this year 17 mln tons of coal, more than 3.8 bln cubic meters of gas and 3.5 tons of stable gas condensate is planned to be supplied to Russia from Kazakhstan.
