/IRBIS, March 20, 00/ - PRAIM-TASS have been informed in Transneft' that
in the current week the Company plans to Chechnia bypass oil pipeline.
The oil pipeline proof tests will be finished by the end of April. During the
pipe line construction the decision was accepted to extend the pipe line to
the port of Makhachkala that should allow to use a route for transportation
of Turkmen and Kazak petroleum. The whole extent of oil pipeline will make
329 km.
As the Transneft' representative has noted, decision of the Federal power
commission concerning 12.2% tariff escalation covers the last year's
Transneft' constriction expenses only. Thus, this year expenses will demand
the following tariff escalation, what will be considered only after
construction completion.
