Kazakhstan creates commission for work with the petroleum companies

/IRBIS, March 15, 00/ - According to REUTERS, Kasymzhomart Tokaev, the
Prime Minister of Kazakhstan has disposed to create a governmental
commission on petroleum companies. He stated it at the today's
government's meeting.
"The government does not want anything superfluous, it wants the laws are
executed precisely", - has told to REUTERS after the meeting Vladimir
Schkolnik, Minister of power, industry and trade. Hhe has explained that the
transparency will not affect the companies' secrets.
Tokaev will head the commission, his deputy is Aleksandr Pavlov, the First
deputy of the Prime Minister, which is known in government as incorruptible
officer.
Some government's officers speak that the Prime Minister begins a
dangerous struggle with "the petroleum generals", which are traditionally
strong in Kazakhstan.
The President Nursultan Nazarbaev at the government's meeting on
February 9 has stated his discontent by the low petroleum prices of the
Kazakhstan's companies.
