The minister of power of USA hopes that OPEK will soon accept a decision to increase petroleum production

/IRBIS, Mar. 02, 00/ - ITAR-TASS informs about statement of that the Minister of power of USA Bill Richardson in the international relations committee of the USA congress. According to him, USA hope that the main petroleum exporters will soon increase production to constrain a price growth in the world markets. After his 10-day's trip through the Persian gulf, Latin America and Europe countries, Richardson has informed, that Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela and Norway have agreed to not admit the market destabilization and to support world economic growth. The next meeting of the OPEK members is scheduled on March 27 in Vienna.
