Transit of Kazakhstani oil exports through the territory of Russia can be increased by 1 mln tons a year - first deputy minister of the Ministry of fuel and energy

/IRBIS, Feb.25, 00/ - PRIME-TASS informs, with the reference to the first
deputy minister of fuel and energy Aleksandr Kochnev, that transit of
Kazakhstani oil exports through the territory of Russia can be increased by
another 1 mln tons a year.
He said previously agreed up to 11 mln tons a year transit increase would be
ratified soon.
He also said Russia was ready to satisfy the need of Kazakhstan to increase
its oil transportation, though the only restriction is the capacity of Atyrau-
Samara pipeline.
Kazakhstani railroad oil exports will be at least 5 mln tons of oil, said he.
