Saudi Arabia to convince OPEC to increase daily oil production by 1.5 million barrels

/IRBIS, Feb.25, 00/ - Saudi Arabia has agreed in principle to increase OPEC
daily oil production since April, 2000 by 1.5 million barrels per day. Such
information has appeared today on the London International petroleum
exchange /IPE/. As an source informs, Er-Riyad has been impressed by the
data submitted by USA and European union, according to which in the
nearest two month there will be a sharp shortage in oil.
IPE has already reacted today on this information by 9 cents price reduction
- to 27.28 dollars for Brent barrel with April delivery. On Thursday in the
USA and Southeast Asia markets barrel cost more than 30 dollars.
