/IRBIS, Feb.21, 00/ - REUTERS informs, with the reference to Statistics agency of Kazakhstan, that in 1999 gross domestic product (GDP) of Kazakhstan rose 1.7%, at KZT1,893.5 bln in real terms.

The agency also informs that production of goods rose 2.3 percentage points to 1998, at 40.2% of GDP in 1999. Industry accounts for most of GDP (25.6%). Agriculture grew 9.9% compared with 8.7% in 1998.
