Two state companies of Kazakhstan have one billion liabilities

/IRBIS, Feb.07, 00/ - REUTERS informs that state companies Temir Zholy (state enterprise supervising railways) and Kazakhtelekom (national operator of communication lines) have the credit liabilities to the sum more than 1 billion DM, and transfer the main part of incomes to its redemption, the Minister of transport and communications Serik Burkitbaev has told. "With allowance for of the interests our branch should pay more than 1 billion DM on the credits taken in 1994-96", - has told Burkitbaev at today's meeting with the senators. The Kazakhtelekom liabilities, according the minister, make 522 million DM, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy - 569 million, which were spent for the cars purchase in Germany. The minister also has noted a long credit for the infrastructure development, which should be returned during 7-10 years. The minister doubts, in particular, in expediency of using the Japanese loan "for construction of the new car repair factory in Almaty. This factory capacity, as he said, surpasses not only the Kazakhstan's, but whole Central Asia's needs. The minister has informed, that in 1999 the railway turnover with China through the Druzhba station has grown by 75% in comparison with the previous year and has made 3.5 million tons (in 1999 - 2,0 million tons). Burkitbaev has told that in 2000 Kazakhstan is going to transport through Druzhba station about 6 millions tons of consignments.
