External debt payments of Kazakhstan in 2000 - $473.26 million

/IRBIS, Feb.04, 00/ - The press service of the Ministry of Finance has
informed that the payments of Kazakhstan on the external debts settlement
and service of the government loans and loans given under the state
warranties will make in 2000 $473.26 million.

Service of the governmental external debt in 1999 has made $401.42 million,
and of the state guaranteed external debt - $241.69 million, is spoken in the
press release.
It is informed also that the Government external duty obligations were
complete executed.
The gross external debt of Kazakhstan, according to balance of payments
for the first half-year of 1999, has made $7,282.7 million, including external
state debt and state guaranteed debt - $3,761.8 million or 51.7% of the total.
Balance of payments calculation is made in Kazakhstan approximately with
three-month delay, and it is published even later. So, parameters for 9
months of 1999 will be published soon.
Under the national debt law, the governmental loans are used to cover the
budget deficiency.
The government has an exclusive right to grant the state warranties. The
government guarantees only those non-state loans, which are included in the
state investments program.
