Comparable figure for 1999 was KZT85.9 bln (data of IRBIS). Therefore, in 1999 internal debt of the country, in terms of SS, rose 33.6%. The most intensive growth in internal debt was observed in the last quarter of previous year and was due to noticeable activation of the Ministry of finance in domestic borrowing market, which was caused by the necessity to pay off pension debts.
