USD/KZT at closing of the day - 138.02/09 (indicators)

/IRBIS, Dec.27, 99/ - According to REUTERS, at closing of interbank currency market of Kazakhstan on December 27 tenge quotations towards US dollar equaled 138.02/09 tenge per dollar. Compared to the results of the previous day tenge lost 8 points against US dollar on demand and 9 points on supply. In main (morning) session weighted average rate of the dollar with TOD terms equaled 138.04 (-0.03) tenge per dollar and closing quotations - 138.07/09. At closing of additional day session with TOD terms and the evening trades with TOM and SPT terms dollar was not quoted. Despite some growth of the dollar in the mid of the day, generally dollar quotations on interbank market indicated that tenge is going to firm futher. Bid and ask prices of an American currency got closer to each other at closing of the market. Spreads did not exceed 10 points with minimum of 4 points in the last hour of the day. Results of the analysis show the balance of demand and supply of dollars in the market. No significant changes should be expected in the market conjuncture on last days of the year. On Tuesday's trades dollar has to gain back some points from tenge. In any case, the conjuncture of the trade will not change noticeably.
