OJSC "KAZKOMMERTSBANK" can purchase municipal bonds of Almaty and Astana on KASE

/IRBIS, Dec.22, 99/ - Since on December 21, 1999 OJSC "KAZKOMMERTSBANK" has received the license to engage in brokerage and dealing activities on the stock market with the right to handle client accounts as a nominal holder, and since the bank has been permitted to participate the securities trades on KASE, now this company can participate in auctions for initial offering of municipal bonds of local executive bodies of Almaty (Dec.24 '99, KZ71K2512A00, KASE code ALU012.001)and Astana (Dec.27 '99, KASE code ASU012.001). investors, who wish to purchase municipal bonds, can do it through OJSC "KAZKOMMERTSBANK". Prior to this, it was said the license of OJSC "KAZKOMMERTSBANK" #t0402100085 to engage in brokerage and dealing activities on the stock market without the right to handle client accounts as a nominal holder has been suspended by the resolution #507 of the National securities commission of Kazakhstan (NSC), dated December 9, 1999. Therefore, in information messages of KASE, devoted to offerings of municipal bonds of local executive bodies of Almaty and Astana, OJSC "KAZKOMMERTSBANK" was not in the list of KASE members, who can take part in the auctions and through whom applications can be submitted by any investor. Now all rights of the bank to participate the auctions and other KASE trades are restored.
