/IRBIS, Dec.08, 99/ - Kazakhstan celebrates its independence day on December 16. High ranked official of the government informed REUTERS that the day-off on December 19 has been moved to December 17.

According to the resolution of the government, non-working days are December 16, 17, 18 in Kazakhstan, and December 19 (Sunday) was declared a working day.
