/IRBIS, Dec.01, 99/ - According to Almaty office of REUTERS with the reference to Statistics agency of Kazakhstan, in October, 1999 prices of industrial producers grew 8.3% compared to previous month.

Prices of industrial enterprises for energy rose 13.9 percent to September, metal-roll - 5.3 percent, food - 1.2 percent. A decrease in chemical production has been observed - 1.6 percent, paper and cardboard - 1.5 percent.

Prices of goods produced in October rose 48.7 percent from the beginning of the year, production services - 8.4 percent.

Statistics agency informs that growth in prices of the producers occurred in all spheres of industrial production: mining - 78.1 percent, processing - 47.1 percent, generation and distribution of electricity, production and distribution of gas and water - 3.6 percent.

Out of the goods, classified based on their final use, semifinished goods had the biggest price rise - 54.3 percent, and consumer goods - 13.3 percent, capital goods - 6.6 percent.
