USD/KZT at the day closing - 139.30/40 (indicators)

/IRBIS, Nov.12, 99/ - According to REUTERS, at the moment of closing of Kazakhstan's OTC-market on November 12 tenge/dollar quotations have made 139.30/40 tenge per dollar at the average weighted exchange rate of 139.61 (+0.16) and session closing quotations of 139.55/57. By the dealers interbank quotations, tenge as against of the previous day closing increased by 40 point on demand and increased by 36 points on supply. After insignificant growth within the first hour after exchange trades closing and following stabilization, after 4:00 p.m. quotation in the interbank market began to reduce. The spreads varied today from 9 to 11 points at average 10. They were more narrow than yesterday that testifies to growth of the dealers reliance in tenge increasing continuation. During most part of the day the spreads remained at the level of 10 points, therefore, the change of the dollar demand and supply quotations occurred practically synchronously. Rates of the interbank overnight deposits have decreased today in comparison with yesterday's and remained practically without changes at the level of 2/7 - 2/9% p.a. In the IRBIS's experts opinion, the objective market indicators testify: on the Monday's trades the dollar can lose some points.
